CD-12 spark plug

What is the correct spark plug for a CD-12 1955 5.5 Johnson? It has J8C plugs in it now. The cowl says to use J6J is this plug obsoleate? Thanks

Yes, it's been replaced by the Champion J6C. The ground electrode was slightly changed. Gap is .030".<br />J8C is too hot and not recommended.<br /><br />Hope this helps!

Thanks, I thought the J8C plugs looked to hot.
