Changing a pdf to a jpg

I just found a way to change a .pdf over to a .jpg, the graphics program I use will do it, not sure how common that is so I thought I would mention it, the program I use is a free one called Gimp, one of the games I play uses a odd format called a .tga so I found it to create in game content and I noticed it was showing pdf files when I was browsing files, so I clicked on one and it opened and let me save it as a jpg.

That is nice to know. I will need to see if Elements offers any trick like that.

When I needed to do it I was using print screen, copy and paste.

Assuming you're referring to Photoshop Elements, you should be able to open a .pdf, crop, and save it to a .jpg or .png with no problem.
Just use your "Save As" command and see if .jpg is an option. Couldn't imagine it not being there,
