Hi Guys,
Firstly I must say that this forum has been a godsend on a couple of previous issues on my Chrysler 1973 1359HG.
First problem was the starter, followed up by the infamous power tilt problems that seem to be a curse for this engine.
I nearly bought one of those crappy chinese hydraulic pump until I read up on them here. (got the new suggested Mallory)
Onto today's pickle. I haven't run the engine for a few months so I was doing the usual prestart. New Fuel, clean the plugs, inspect the engine.
When I pulled out the third plug there was what looked like rust on the top of the plug. Never seen a rusty sparkplug in an engine before. This is what prompted the closer inspection. I discovered the lead looked cracked and burnt. Attached photos.

So I cleaned out the cap with some contact cleaner, fired up the motor and it seemd to run well. Spark on plug etc.
Last time I rushed into a repair on this engine was Disastrous.
A quick inspection of what looks like some sort of distributor cap (but Isnt I'm sure) led me to believe this is going to be trickier than first though. two hours trolling here and going through the manual havent achieved and solid results.
Some assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
