Changing lower unit oil-did I damage seals?

I have a yamaha 2002 100hp 4 stroke. While changing out lower oil I did not take top screw totally out. It drained fine. While pumping oil back in I guess the screw blocked the oil from coming out the top hole since oil is thicker than air. I think it must have built up pressure because I noticed oil leaked out the water vent hole. Do you think I have done any damage to the seals?. I have run the unit with the "earmuffs" and everything seemed fine. No leaking or discolored oil. I don't want to get on lake and have lower unit burn up

Welcome to iboats. :)

What did you use to fill? Most methods wouldn't produce enough pressure to damage the seals. I suppose a pressurized tank that many shops use could if the pressure was high.

I used one of those hand pump gadets that screw onto the oil bottle.
