Long-short-
20' Bass Tracker pontoon-
Now have a 1987 Johnson 110 with 17 pitch prop-
Will be changing to a 1987 Yamaha Pro 50 2 stroke that was on a 16' bassboat & has a 15 pitch prop-
Can anyone just start me in the direction of a proper prop for this setup-Prop on the 50 looks real small & wimpy to push my junk now

While the Yamaha is a good motor I wonder if it t is a good choice for a pontoon with a 1.85 gear ratio.
I believe the 50 Evinrude/Johnson motors have a 2.42 ratio allowing a larger prop.
I think I would start with a 9" pitch if there is a choice of diameter pick the larger prop.
A pontoon specific prop may help.

Thanks- At least thats seems a good starting point -
Kind of fell into the Yamaha :joyous:

I've always known the 110 was just too much motor-
