I have a 2006 Yamaha 60hp 4 stroke and I want to change the spark plugs. The outboard is new to me as I bought it last year and haven't had the canopy off yet.
Are the plugs a straight shot to get at or are there other things that have to be removed first?

Thanks, Ken

They're right there on the left hand side of the cylinder. The bottom one needs a swivel joint to get at if you're using a 1/2inch drive ratchet with a standard spark plug spanner. This is a REALLY easy job, the HT leads are self explanatory and there's a little sticker diagram to help you reattach the leads in the correct order.

While you're at it, check the oil on the other side - yellow capped plug with a handle. Good luck.
