I have a 91 (ish) johnson 30 hp, it has a bad charge coil, Well the P/N number on the coil is rubbed mostly off. I do have several charge coils that will match the boss's under the flywheel, but the original has a tin plate on the magnet facing side and the others I have look the same minus this tin plate. so I don't know the motor model # as we switched the transom unit about 2 years ago. I don't know the charge coil P/N as its rubbed away. so I mounted the spare coil I had on hand and I now have spark both cyl. SO am I set up for a surprise out on the water? or not. In help appreciated .
