Chartplotters

I do alot of cruising. Mississippi River, Lake Michigan, Wisconsin and Michigan side, North Channel, Green Bay etc. I want to get a full size chartplotter. I am looking at the Navman 5100 and the Raymarine 425. I have had issues with a garmin handheld so dispite their extensive line I think I will stay away from garmin. <br /><br />Does anyone have any experience with these brands? I boats has outstanding pricing and I have some time b4 spring. Anyone know anything about JRC. I bought a JRC VHF radio for my brothers christmas present and I of course, inspected it to make sure it was in .... the box? <br /><br />Thanks your input will guide my decision.<br /><br />Doug
