Re: Chase Race 7 - Martinsville

The more interesting thing is that Almendinger will be in the #51 again. Poor Regan Smith lost his ride while filling in for Jr. . . .

A leftover from last week. Chad Knauss is a flippin' genius. Or like Harvick said they have a golden horseshoe up their collective wazzoos. How the heck they kept that car on the lead lap was amazing. No other word for it.

Getting a nice early start this week! Cool. I love short tracks!!!

Will Shrubby take out Newman? He(Shrubby) threatened.....

Maybe you saw this already QC. Hope he can turn it around.....

Burton says 2013 is "make or break": The 2013 season will be the 20th of Jeff Burton's Sprint Cup career, but next year won't be significant because of a milestone anniversary in NASCAR's premier series. "It's very make or break," Burton said. "It feels really important. It's on my mind already. It's been on my mind for a while. We've got to right this ship. We've got to do it now. This has gone on for two years. It goes on for three, that is too long." The veteran, who hasn't won in 145 starts and more than four years, is mired in his worst slump at Richard Childress Racing. His #31 Chevy is 19th in the Sprint Cup standings with four races remaining after ranking 20th in 2011. That puts Burton on pace for his worst back-to-back seasons since entering Cup with finishes of 24th and 32nd in points in 1994-95. "I certainly have less years ahead of me than behind me," Burton, 45, said. "So every year you don't have success feels like a big loss. How many more chances are we going to have?"(USA Today)(10-25-2012)

Here's my forecast. At the end somebody will be mad at somebody. Take that to the bank.

I like the short tracks too, and I watched that race as well.

I actually gained some respect for Nelson Piquet Jr. last night, and of course Hamlin was great coming from the back.

I watched last nites race too. About time they got back to "rubin' is racin'". Although, truck racing usually is rather exciting to watch.. Just turned on Cup. I see Johnson was lapping the field. Doesn't take long on a short track. The points leader came close until the yellow flew....

May be down to Keselowski and Johnson with Boyer and Kahne having an outside chance........ Hamlin is done unless the top 4 implode over the next 3 races..... Anything is possible........

Jimmie is amazing. I hate to say it, but the guy just gets it done. Even when he tries to crash he doesn't

Denny got hosed by a cheap part. That's a bummer. Keselowski did pretty well despite the poor starting spot. I was hoping for better for Bowyer too. On to Texas.

Jimmie got lucky he didn't spin himself, or, damage his car enough to have to come in under green...... His day could have turned real ugly by not lifting when he should have........ But, he made it...... I agree, no more Johnson for a few years.....

We cheer so loudly here when Jimmie so much as get's loose. I was trying to be nice above, but we ask every single driver near him to crash him out. Sorry, I had to admit it
