Cup Practice

Jimmie is 2nd fastest and Brad 13th. Only 20 minutes in. Jimmie appears to have a good early handle on the track. Burton already hit the wall and has to go to a backup car.

Truck race tonite......:)

Just heard Harvick is going to Stewart-Haas in 2014. Truck race is pretty good so far. Klingerman is out of the championship picture after a wreck. He had an outside chance anyway..... Down to 3 trucks for the trophy........

Good Nationwide race yesterday. All Stenhouse Jr needs to do is finish 16th or better at Homestead and the championship is his. Sadler had a tough go, wrecking with 2 laps left. Still managed to stay on the lead lap with a bent up car at he end, G/W/C..

The big boys take center stage today. Hopefully Brad can gain a little more ground if not even take the points lead.....

Sadler is in quite a hole for sure. I can't see Jimmy Johnson not winning this year again but would be nice if Keselowski got it. Change things up a bit. I'm not fond of these last two tracks. I think they start the year with a 500 mile race, why not end it with a 500 mile race.

Ouch. That's gonna hurt the points. That could be the end.

Is the NASCAR hauler gonna be big enough for all the visitors?

After thee re-start another mess. NASCAR screwed up not throwing the caution after Danica wrecked.

As far as Gordon or Boyer in the wrong, I'll say both of them.

Gordon was in the wrong and yes, Nascar screwed up too. But hey, it was an interesting finish to say the least.

Bowyer got into Gordon first and cut Jeffeys tire then it was on. Its going to be interesting to see how it all plays out for next weeks race. On a good note, I`m glad to see my Michigan Boy jump ahead of 5 time in the points. Looks like hes up by 22 right now. Heres the video of the melee. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7q1PYYlUArU

Harvick just said on Sports Center that Gordon and Boyer had a good relationship. MMMM, "had" is operative word. Should Gillette sign on as a major NASCAR sponsor? They did the Wednesday Night Fights years ago.

Re: Chase Race 9 - Pheonix

First, congrats to RCR. What a long drought.

Yeah, Boyer "barely" got into Gordon, Gordon was still fine at this point. Then Boyer dropped down below the line in the dog leg, came back up the track and Gordon put the left bumper into Boyer to retaliate. By doing so, Gordon's tire was cut and into the wall he went. Instead of NASCAR throwing a caution like they do most anytime someone hits the wall, the race continued and you could see small parts flying off Gordon's car. Instead of heading to pit lane, Gordon continued on waiting for Boyer to come back around. NASCAR even black flagged Gordon. Shortly after, Gordon took out Boyer and a few other cars.

Up to that point, Boyer still had a legit(not great) shot at the championship. IMO, Gordon lacked any class whatsoever. And I don't have any dog in the fight with either driver.

When they showed a live shot of Gordon out of his car fluffin' his hair, he all of a sudden disappeared. Guarantee someone initially got a good shot at him. Interesting how the cops were waiting outside NASCAR's hauler to escort Gordon and members of his team out of there.

Danica's deal. Not sure what Burton(he's my dog) was thinking in the first place. Burton dumps Danica, slams in the wall and dumps a bunch of oil(flagman had to see it even tho NASCAR claims otherwise) on the track, they don't throw a caution and a bunch of cars wreck at the finish. Bet the owners of those cars will have a talk with NASCAR.

Sure it made for an exciting ending. Still, cooler heads from NASCAR should of prevailed.

If I were Brad and see Gordon and Boyer by each other at Homestead, he better get around them, or, give them lots of room.

I'm done........:)

Oil or not Nascar normally throws a caution as soon anyone hits the wall. And car sitting still on the front straight is absolutely a caution. Gordon needs to sit out a race like Kyle did.

I can understand why they let the race finish but when Danica was still on the track, they should have thrown the caution. This is how all this started a few years ago when Dale Jarrett crashed and was stopped on the front stretch. They use to race back to the line. He was getting out of his car when they all came zooming by. Yesterday could have turned out disastrous.

I agree. We'll see about the consistency of NASCAR. Kyle Petty thinks he'll get a fine and that's about it because he's Jeff Gordon. "Maybe" they'll put him on double secret probation too... We'll find out Tuesday.

I bet Hendrick had a few choice words for Gordon.....

Danica was hit hard after the checkers. Her car got jacked up pretty good. She could have been seriously injured........ What a mess..

I was there  . . . Drove over Saturday night, and got tickets for $25 each on the Hillside. Amazing!!!! What a spectacle  I can't believe they didn't through the caution at the end. The Boyer/Gordon thing happened right in front of us. And all the end stuff started by Burton? WTH? Would have bet a full moon or something. Jeez . . .
