I am looking for a fishfinder that will help find the reefs at slow speeds in the bay. Most of the time max depth is 10-20 ft, sometimes 50 ft in some holes.

Has anyone used the hummingbird smart cast? Portability would be great.

Like I said I dont need super accurate nor do I need it to find the fish. Just want it to tell me where the drop off is on the reef and the deep holes.

I would like to spend under 100 dollars if at all possible.

Thanks, Ken

There are several in the Mega Mall that meet or exceed your needs, KIZ. I like the Eagle Cuda 128 and 168. I just bought a Cuda 168 for my boat.

I would suggest the Cuda also! I bought one lst year. It has worked fine for me, all I do is use the depth and show my son when fish show on the screen. The depth seems to be pretty accurate, I compared what mine was showing to my brothers(different brand) and both showed the same. I payed around $70 dollars for it. I called their tech support line to ask a question about the transducer, and they were very nice and answered everything I asked!
