check out the damage from this weekend! who to fix?

my boat floated off the lift at high tide and washed up next to some rocks. pretty much sat there all night getting banged into the boulders. my guess is that there are a thousand pot marks on that side of the hull.

any thoughts and suggestions on who in the DC area can fix this?

check the local yellow pages for fiberglass repair.

no idea but i couldn't help noticing your user name and the situation. a sign?

doubt that will be a cheap repair. time to learn some grinding/glassing/gel coating.

the user name was supposed to mean i boat away from my troubles... not into new ones!!! so much for that!

I guess the lesson is to tie up your boat even if it's on a lift.

pictures didn't come through.

yes boats need to be tied to lifts, not only to keep from floating away, but also from getting knocked/floated catawumpus on them. A boat in my neighborhood was pushed forward and off the front; stayed stuck there for a good long while filling with rain water b/c you couldn't pull it off that direction and the lift was damaged, too, so you couldn't just drop it.
