Im looking to buy a 40 hp evinrude and want to make sure if the model is the same as on the transom mount. I have a 25hp that I bought a new mount off flea bay that has a totaly different model number even thouth they fit. on the 25 hp, There is a soft plug with the model # is there something on a 1990 40 hp that you can see?
