checkiing oil level of f150

I am having a hard time determining the oil level in my 2006 F150. My tailer is parked on a slight incline. What part of the motor should be level prior to checking the oil. Also, is more better than not enough?

Hi,
Read this Yamaha document:

I fill oil to half on oil dip stick upper and lower mark on my Yamaha F115 4-stroke. That works fine. I have used my F115 for 4 seasons.
