Hi to all my Starcraft buddies here. I've been side tracked this past winter and spring and I'm finally getting back to the boats. I just pulled the Sea Scamp out of the garage and we'll take her out in the morning. I have plans to finish the Offshore this summer and finally start using it.

I enrolled Zach in Karate last fall and he now has his orange belt. He took a couple months of swimming lessons this winter, which is always helpful when you own two Starcrafts. Our schedule this past winter was Karate Tuesday & Thursday, swimming Monday and Wednesday and speech therapy Friday. Throw in a bout of H1N1 this last winter and I had no free time.

Zach and I have started making our own wooden fishing lures lately. I was thinking of building a small cnc lathe and mill to make small production runs. We've started pouring our own worms and rubber craws. Zach loves it!

Stop in and say hi tell me what your up to, if you don't know me, stop in and introduce yourself. Here's to an even better 2012.

God Bless all my Starcraft Brethren,

Don and Zach

Hey BD - welcome back! I am new as of late 2011... so I'm not sure we've met... but nice to meet you nonetheless. Sounds like a great winter ( excluding h1n1...!).

Hope to see you around!

Welcome back to the fold, Don. Funny - I was just wondering about where you and a few others have been. Get the Scamp done with Zach. I want to vote for his boat for SC of the year.

So you two are going to be BadZach Killer Lures Inc.? Great. Got any pics of the secret, soon to be banned by B.A.S.S lures?

Glad you, Zach and Mom made it through the winter. Don't be a stranger. And Zach - Keep Dad working on the Offshore.

Welcome back.

After having to sell the pristine 18 SS to settle the divorce last fall, I have been busy buying.

'89 14 Alumacraft jon

Can't seem to find the time, or ambition, to finish them up, but you have to buy when they are available.

Re: Checking in with the Nation

Thanks guys;

1973Cheiftan; How's that barrel back coming along?

Heyyou; Good to hear from you, how's your boy doing?

Inmotion; Pleased to meet ya. Flu was a bugger, I didn't get it the other two did though.

GA; Thought I better check in before ya'll sent the dogs out to look for me. Sad to say they will not be bass lures. I've gone over to the dark side, Muskie.

CBK; An outboard and open bow! Shocking, no not really lol. Open, closed, cuddy, I/O or outboard, I like em all. That teak and holly panel will be the bomb on the Holiday. Howza's Kingfisher is a real looker with that floor. I was thinking of making a deck on the back of the Offshore using that stuff.

Roscoe; 4 tinnies since last fall!? Good job. Working on them is a lot harder than buying them, don't ask me how I know that.

Jas; Sold the Jet for taxes, ouch? Sorry for your loss bro-ham. Those walleye's fight like a boot anyway.

Dozer; Good to see ya. No lures as of yet, we are designing and planning. We've bought a bunch of old wooden lures off ebay to analyze (copy lol). My brother and I have all the woodworking tools, and I have plans to build a small cnc lathe for production. We'll see what happens, hobby or business.

NB; Good to see you, and I'm very glad the LL is still with you.

Thanks everybody.

Re: Checking in with the Nation

BD, I splashed her a couple weeks ago, found that my 33 hp was way underpowered so I bought a Merc 500 from 64osby- a cool gentleman-, and now am getting 29 mph from her! Looks awesome soaring down the lake :)

hey Don--

glad to see you back! place wasn't the same without you. unlike many others, not much change in my world. same 2 boats, same state of "working on em". didn't buy the 25'er due to shrinkage.
