The only time it bothers me is when I'm browsing the forums on my phone. I can't scroll over to close it. Perhaps an iBoats forums mobile site is in order?

It's extremely annoying and I don't even look at it. In fact, in my mind....it takes away from Chevy. I look at it like this, if Chevy has to lower itself to the point that it's ad annoys you to get you to look at their ad, then they aren't really an honest company to begin with.

There is a Close X on the top right hand corner. So click on the X and it will go away while browsing the threads.

The next time you access this site it will be back. Maybe the Ad can be made in a Fix position like a Banner at top of every Page.

I mean, I fully understand that this is a free site and ad's come with a free site. I view the site in a smaller window while at work and or from a phone and it become extremely annoying to have to move the screens all over. If I become annoyed by marketing tactics then it does the complete opposite of what their trying to achieve, I want nothing to do with the product.

I do like the site and have spent a bit of money at iboats as a result, though the Chevy ad is annoying, esp when I am on my iphone. Well maybe it is good they don't have pop-ups. I think I would have left a while ago if they did that.
