Re: Children and Thankyous

Okay, guys, I get the message. I do enjoy giving the gift. It would be nice to know if he received it. But I see that is expecting too much in some of your eyes. Its just disappointing I guess, since by brother should know better, but I'm not the parent, so it's not my place to say. Right?
Okay, I understand your opinions and appreciate them very much.
Just to give you a past incident that worked:
Sam, a 16 year old nephew, was sent a cash gift from us and we didn't receive a thank you note. We didn't send a gift the following the year and we got a note from him asking why he didn't get a gift. I sent a note back saying because he didn't acknowledge receiving it and we didn't get a thank you. We sent a gift the next year and you know what? He sent a very nice thank you. Lesson learned. :)
Bassy

Change? Don't count on that. Thanks Tylerin.
And thanks to all of you. You gave me the all around view. Don't know what we'll do for next year. We'll know when the time comes.
