Okay, guys, I get the message. I do enjoy giving the gift. It would be nice to know if he received it. But I see that is expecting too much in some of your eyes. Its just disappointing I guess, since by brother should know better, but I'm not the parent, so it's not my place to say. Right?<br />Okay, I understand your opinions and appreciate them very much.<br />Just to give you a past incident that worked:<br />Sam, a 16 year old nephew, was sent a cash gift from us and we didn't receive a thank you note. We didn't send a gift the following the year and we got a note from him asking why he didn't get a gift. I sent a note back saying because he didn't acknowledge receiving it and we didn't get a thank you. We sent a gift the next year and you know what? He sent a very nice thank you. Lesson learned.
