Thanks for the info but this will have to wait until tomorrow morning if I have time before I head to Mn. Tomorrow I'll be known as MNMUSKY, at least for the day.... :)

Re: Chrome issues.................

Well, fishing wasn't the greatest. My bro had a follow right away and that was it for the day. I threw about 6 different lures at 'em and couldn't get a rise. Welcome to musky fishing.;)

Went back and looked more closely at shutting the computer down. Saw the update shield on the turn off icon. I was just doing a restart before. I guess that wont install the updates. Soooooo, hit the turn off icon and installed 12 updates. Ran the Java link, didn't recognize the new version. Had to click on the "always run on this site" button, I believe that's what it was called. Ran Java link again. Recognized the new version but wanted me to remove all the runtime environment files. Did that, reran the link and it told me conratulations! Woo hoo!

Trouble is, still having the same problem..........:( Getting ready to start banging my head.

Sorry to hear you're still experiencing this issue. I'm using chrome as well now and it's working fine. Anyway you can take a screen shot of the "quick reply" and "advanced" editors?

I guess I could if someone could tell me how. I went to the "wrench" and clicked on "save page as". I have it saved in My Pictures, but can't seem to transfer it from there to a reply in the forum.....

Look for the "Print Screen" button, usually on the top row of keys by the "F1-F12". Once you select print screen, go to the program "Paint" and then right click and paste. After doing that, just save it and it should save the picture. Add the picture as an attachment like normal.

Yep, I googled the process and tried that. Paint is "suppose" to be under "accessories", not there. Not sure if it was removed at one point. Can it be downloaded for free? I do have Paint Shop Pro 6, but, the trial period expired so it's useless. FYI, I'm still on XP. On a rare occasion I can reply with Chrome........

WIM, just throwing this out there. You talked about rebooting and/or shutting down and restarting your computer. Have you ever gone to the top of the iboats page and clicked Log Out then logged back in? Don't know if (or even why) that would work but who knows.

FYI, I'm also using Chrome with XP and it works fine on a 10 year old Dell.

I really am stumped. I will continue to keep looking and seeing what personal settings may cause this issue. I've narrowed it down to being an issue within your browser. I'm not experiencing it and other members on chrome appear to be posting fine. I'll keep you updated if I find any new information out.

Ya, I tried logging off, isn't helping. Although, I just logged off again and reply advanced mode worked. Logged off and tried it again, nothing. My Dell is about 6yrs old...

Thanks for all your help, that goes for all that replied too.

I have also imported my links from IE. Not sure if that's playing a part. But, it works on IE so I wouldn't think so. Don't want to beat a dead horse, but, this is the only forum I have problems.... Userid/profile issue?

Yesterday I went into my profile on this forum and general settings to change the editor. There are 3 choices. Nothing worked. Not even the basic one for text only...

Plugins is set to run automatically. Also, we don't actually "sign-in" to chrome to use it. Does anyone else?

I sign in just so that I can have my preferences on my work pc, home pc and cell phone.

Going along with what Tail_Gunner said, I'd make sure you do not have any firewall or anything that may block it from loading. I still haven't found any specific reason that would cause this.
