No battery necessary.
You can burn up the points/condenser.
Where did you hook up the battery?Pics?
All you should have to do is pull the cord and it will start.
That is if you have compression/ fuel and spark.
Any wires could be a kill button.Again pics???
Profile, location??You might be close to someone who can help.

Re: chrysler 15hp electrical

l could be wrong but l also think that they could be the kill or stop wires, going to the stop button between the pull handle and tiller
are the wires black or brown?
l have a 10hp magento, which l don't think yours is..or at least isn't now.. and the two wires going to the stop button are black or brown,
wiring diagrams for 15 show black stop wires,
all of them show a starter motor as well,
what are the brackets on the starboard side for?
has someone tried to put some sort of home made starter motor set up on it?

as l said, l could be wrong, been wrong before, will be wrong in the future as well,
LOL

Re: chrysler 15hp electrical

ya can't blame jerry for the last reply LOL

l'm a tad confused.. but, according to my family it's a permanent condition
so are you converting.. or trying to.. a manual start magneto ignition system to some electric start system?
what type of starter are you going to use?
regulator/rectifier?
stator?

Re: chrysler 15hp electrical

l think you'll have to read Jerry's 2nd reply again, specially the bit about not needing a battery to start that motor,
it looks to me that you have a Frankenstein motor, a bit of this 'n' a bit of that of other ignition systems, the wiring certainly does not look original and it looks to have a fuse as well,
