Re: Classic Cars

I guess you could say I'm into them.....I have a 67 Chevelle SS that I've owned since I was a sophmore in high school. I don't know if I'm going to pass it down to my son or not. He gets his license in December.

Re: Classic Cars

My Chevelle was purchased new for my eldest sister when she went to college. When she married while in college it came back to the family and was the go to school car for the rest of us. Me being the youngest it was pretty ratty when I took control of it in 74 after my 3 other sisters had it. Its had several engines in it during its life but it now has the original 396 that came in it back under the hood.

I got a 1971 GMC Jimmy and also owned a few Buicks. I really want my 1970 Buick Electra 225 convertible back, oh what a car (455 BB 370hp and 510 lbs need it to tow the boat) :D

My high school boyfriend(boy, that's been a while!) had a '66 Ford Galaxie 500. We called it the Red Lead Sled.

Re: Classic Cars

While I sadly own no older cars of my own, I do highly enjoy working on them. I'm currently helping to restore cars for 3 of my friends; 1949 Buick Roadmaster(all original), 1968 Belvedere (440 HO from Charger RT), and 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible (also original).

I guess I'm lucky living here in Detroit I get to see the old cars cruise every August on Woodward Ave.

69 GTO conv 4 spd. Matching numbers all orginal. Restored it back in 97 in order to attend the GTO Nationals in Atlanta. Did the car show circuit for several years with the son. Now son is in Coast Guard and car sits in garage. I do take it for a spin on sunny days several times a year.

I love old cars if you have one for sale I'll take it. My neighbor has a 57 Chevy in great shape but has not had time to put the engine in. He has and runs a old Hudson in great shape.

bikeman
