Ok, Im about to put that 70hp motor back together. When I removed the bolts they all had that white oxidation powder on it. I cleaned that out of the bolts easily but what can I do with the holes in the motor where those bolts goes? I know I can brush them, but is there something better or easier to accomplish that?
Thanks!

And a little oil. Thread cutting oil is best but regular motor oil or outboard oil will work well too.

Reassemble with plenty of anti-seize compound or vaseline petroleum jelly.

Oh yeah! while the corrosion may look like a lot, aluminum corrosion has about ten times the volume of mass aluminum metal. And if I remember correctly, something like 75% thread engagement yeilds about 90% thread strength. But still--remember you are going into aluminum. Don't get ham-handed, overtighten, and strip them.
