I replaced my leaking oil pump. ('94 60 HP 3 cyl). Should have gotten the oil lines at the same time as the pump, but of course hindsight is 20/20.
I used standard HW store vinyl chemical resistant tubing in a pinch since I didn't want to reuse the old ones.
Will that work for a short period until I can get back to the dealer to swap in the OEM tubes? Or am I asking for a blowup in short order?
It's only 2 psi on the line from the pump to the fuel line, and just gravity fed on the inlet. I don't see it as being an issue for the short term. Just wondered if anyone has used the same.
P.S
I don't have any Merc dealer anywhere close to where I am. I assume any outboard dealer would sell the fuel/oil tubing in lengths?
