Does anyone sell a aftermarket kit to set up a closed cooling system on a 3.0 like my old 470. anyone ever heard of someone using closed cooling on a 3.0

There are aftermarket kits available for around $500. Here is one of them: Freshwater Cooling Kit for MerCruiser, 3.0L (181 ci) 4 cyl. Engines

The mercruiser kit is more like $1600

To add a note: If the engine has been in use for more then just a short time it is not recommened by Merc to install closed cooling without professionaly cleaning of the complete system. There is a Merc service bulletin on this but I have not been able to find it. The BT Doc link brings up a page but only one page in the Adults section. Chris found it a little while back
