I know I know! Electric shift stringer yuk!!! I just replaced the foward coil that got fried the last time I was out. My question is how do I know that I got it seated nice and flush in the housing next to the prop bearing? There is a small area that it presses into and I did the best I could to carefully tap it into place. It appears to be in just as far as the previous one was according to pictures. Should I extend a paperclip and feel around for any space between the coil and the housing? Let me know what you think!
This is a before picture of where it seats...pointed out by the green arrow.
This is a picture of new coil in place to give you guys an idea.
