Coil Wire Question?

I just bought an old{70's} Wards Sea King. I picked it up and most of it was in a box. I've got it put back together except points, coil etc.

Besides the plug wire the coil has two wires. One seems to be an extra. Normally, I would use it on a "kill" switch but the motor says to use the choke to kill motor.

Does anyone know where this wire goes? my Clymers does not show much on the [one Lungers] electrical system.

Thanks a lot folks and enjoy happy & safe boating. Thanks again. Hal

Re: Coil Wire Question?

I just got "informed" on this one today as a matter of fact. one of the two wires should be connected to the case or bracket the is used to mount the coil, the other is attached to the back end of the points.. or so it is on both of my '56's. hope this helps
