Thanks- guess the coil isnt't my problem- the Primary resistance measured 1 OHM , the spec says between .6 and .8 I'm getting spark but doesnt seem very bright. Have intermittent starting issues, some day it starts on first turn others i have to crank it then it starts but runs rough....sitting in idle after about a min or so will stall out....i can start again but same scenario. I have voltages at all the right places, check neutral safety switch and it grounds when depressed...guess i have to go to mechanic.

Take a lesson that I relearned this spring. Brush all the wiring terminals and connections clean. Fixed up my 97 wiring.
