Anybody run their fiberglass boat through the winter? Can Cold temps make the fiberglass more prone to cracks or breaking?
I live in North Carolina so it typically doesn't get extremely cold like it does up north. This will be my first winter owning a fiberglass boat and am hoping to be able to continue crappie fishing in the winter, I usually don't go out if its to much colder than freezing but sometimes i do. Just wondering if others had any issues with cold weather affecting fiberglass hulls or if I'm just worried about nothing.
When the water temperature goes below 30 its hell on the gel coat.![]()
