Comments on late 80's Yamaha 115

Does anyone have any comments, good or bad, regarding late 80's yamaha outboards, specifically the v-4 115 HP models. The boat I am looking to purchase is equipped with these motors and I wanted to get some feedback so that I know what I am getting into, and to minimize the surprises.

Some of the best motors to come out of the yamaha factory, will last for a long time if look after a little. very reliable and strong

as I am guessing these are saltwater motors, carefully check the shift shafts.
