There are/were two connection points on the upper shift shaft and the one to the gear shift cable on the motor is fine and working. There is another tab that is broken off where a smaller cable connects that goes up to the flywheel area and mounts to some type of control. Any idea what this is for? Thanks.
Thanks again Racerone, put the Merc back together today with new seals, o-ring and reverse lock cam and she runs like a top. And she is pumping water like she should!
