Compression inconsistancy

My Merc has compression report 3 yrs ago<br />all 4 cyl 125 psi<br /><br />following year 110 in all 4..<br />2 different service centres.<br /><br />I would say that as a rule, you wouldn't lose that much compression in ALL cylinders in 2 years therefore someones compression tester needs calibation.<br /><br />yes/no ???

andrew,<br /><br />Different compression guages can give far different readings.<br /><br />Also, some one may have taken the compression with the throttle plates open and the other with them closed.<br /><br />The important thing is that they are all the same or very close to one another.
