Compression test numbers

So I took my boat out over the weekend and it would not plane out. It's a 16 foot tri haul with a 77 johnson 25. I pulled the plug when I got home and they were covered with oil. I'm thinking they where fouled out. I run a 50:1 mix. I have already done a carb rebuild new fuel lines new fuel pump powerpack and one new coil. This morning I figured I would do a compression test and the numbers I got are 110 on the top cylinder and 105 on the bottom. I'm not sure if these numbers are ok or not. I'm going to replace the plugs and maybe get another coil and turn down the rich/lean screw. Any thoughts?

Is the thermostat there and is it working properly in this motor?

Your compression numbers aren't too bad. Maybe just a tad low. But not bad at all really. The big thing is to make sure they are about 10 psi within each other. Which they are. So not bad at all. I would say your OK compression wise. But perhaps one of the guru's will advise you also .

I replaced it today just to make sure. Bad thermostat would not make it plane out?

Post # 1 you talk about fouled out plugs , yes.-----------Check and see if spark will jump a gap of 5/16" or more.

Would not plane out? You're running on one cylinder only...
Recent coil replacement? Check you connections, recheck all your wiring.

p.s., compression numbers are great.

I was not running on 1 cylinder when I took it out over the weekend. I replaced one coil last week bc it went bad. I had spark on both cylinders when I took it out over the weekend and it would not plane out. I pulled the plugs when I got home and they where covered in oil. The coil I replaced is a updated version and the other one was the old style so I just went ahead and replaced it today with two new plugs and a thermostat bc I don't know when the last time it was replaced. I know the wiring is correct. I also adjusted the lean/rich screw to make it a little bit more lean. The wire with the blue stripe coming from the powerpack goes to the top cylinder and the other to the bottom cylinder.
