confusion on Volvo outdrive DP-s but inside transom has Sx-c1 ??

To clarify the metal tag on my actual drive says. DP-S 1.95

Inside on the engine compartment on a volvo tag it says. SX-C1.

Forgive me for the possibly dumb question but why don't these match? Is the outdrive not original ? Any compatibility issues? The guy before me has had problems..bought the boat without an engine. (since replaced not turned over yet due to getting outdrive up to spec.)
Or is it just because its a dup prop outdrive and not a "sx".

Its very confusing for getting parts as which ones do I buy?

It's just the designation for that model transom shield, it's the same for the single prop or the duo prop.

Thanks for the reply Don, So to clarify when ordering parts..say the bellows(among many others). When I search for SX-C1 bellows or DP-S bellows I get two different sku numbers? (knowing that the bellows is not technically "outdrive" part but none the less I get two numbers?) I have also found blow ups of the SX-C1 you posted to someone ,older post.

To add confusion I've saw an outdrive with SX-C1 on it? so I was assuming that my search gave me that bellows for that drive? Confusing..and just trying to order parts. Maybe you have some clarity on this.

The bellows is part number 3841481. For that style of drive there is only one type of bellows. And it was used from 1994 to 2006.

Don, thank you for the clarity...i had found myself on that page but wanted to get some info from someone who knows as I'm new to this part of the boat in this way. Thank you.
