connection cables, colour codes Mariner 48

I´m connecting a late seventies 2 cyl Mariner 48 (yamaha-bulidt), serial 670L3265 to a the remote controls from a 1978 Merc 500 thunderbolt. I´ve got the Merc manual (seloc), but lack info about the Mariner. Are the Mariner colour codings of the 7-8 different cables (ingiton, choke etc) identical to the Merc? If not, please help me! <br />Jan

I have the wire diagrame for the Magneto (Breaker) type ignition system, and the Electric start circuit Schematic.<br />Would any of that info be of help?

Yes, very much. <br />If possible, please mail it to janhm@start.no<br />Any diagrame will help (I just started the engine first time, manually, no problem at all, but I think the rest of the family prefers to turn the key )<br />jan
