just bought a 1978 35hp evirude and cables were not attached and I'm not sure if they are right ones. Need diagram or instructions for motor end of cables. HELP !!
You will find all the info you need in an OEM Factoy Service Manual. Plus if you get it, it will help you out with probs you have in the future with the mtr.
Here are photos of the cable hookup on my '78 35 hp Evinrude. The throttle is cable is unhooked for the photo. Note that the cables are anchored to the motor with a bracket about 5" in front of the actual hookup. Without the bracket you won't get any shift/throttle.
