I have a 1987 Chris craft scorpion with a 350 sbc and alpha o/d. It has through-hull exhaust now, is it difficult (expensive) to modify to silent choice. Thanks

If it doesn't have the exhaust Y-pipe already installed for the exhaust to exit out thru the prop. You will have to pull the drive and engine to install it. You will need the diverters and the Y-pipe

You need the diverters and control switches.

You will need the Y-Pipe, seals/gaskets, rubber exhaust boots, & clamps

Hey kopasetic, have you thought about little mufflers? Much cheaper and will cut down the noise. Becoming very popular here in the west where thru-hull are very popular and there are starting to be noise police . . .

You need to fix up the link as we shouldn't post direct links to commerical sites. I don't believe iboats markets these or I would've sent you there. Take a look at the Double X tips at the bottom. Relatively cheap.

I have just purchased my first boat, being a bayliner. The boat is driven by a 2.3l cobra omc. I am looking for a starter motor and other parts, however I live in the UK. New to chat forum

wave dancer,

Welcome to iboats!! You should start a new topic just for you and your 2.3. You'll get help that way. Go back to the first screen in this section and there is a box upper left that says "New Topic" Click that, think of a good title like "Need New Starter for 2.3 Cobra" and give as much info as you possibly can in the main box below that. Good luck!!

Depending on the Layout of your Exhaust Tips,+ Transom,......
Attaching Downpipes, instead of Tips, that'll get the ends a couple inches Below the Waterline,...
Will give you a Dead Quite ride at Trolling Speeds,......
And that Lovely Rumble when you break onto Plane........
