After trying in vain to repair my 1996 40 hp Yamaha outboard power tilt, I am now considering converting it to a manual tilt. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thnaks for any info.
Thanks for the suggestion. If I turn the relief screw out, will it allow me to manually tilt it forward while still hold it in the water when I put it in reverse? BTW, can you tell me which screw is the relief screw?
