What's a good, easy, inexpensive way of fastening cooler cushions down to the cooler lids so they don't fly off in the wind when running?

Hey Rbigg,

Just throwing my two ideas around, velcro? Or, never tried this, but what about using snaps like for a boat top, you could screw one side to the cooler lid and epoxy or sew? the other side to the cushion.

I thought they their only role was to sunbake on the bow. Learn something new everyday.

I use velcro on my esky cushion, not sewn in, just glued on. Aldo

quantumleap,
I Really like Your Idea.........

But what I did to mine was,
When I had them made, the guy sewed on 4 little tabs near the corners,+ 2 strips of the uncomfortable side of Velcro to the bottom of them......
Then I added the Snaps in the tabs, along with screwing the other 1/2 to the Cooler..+ Glued the soft side of the Velcro to the Coolers....

The Only problem so far is, the Velcro Doesn't Stick to the Igloo Cooler......
I'm thinking a pop-rivit every 6"s, centered in the Velcro, Should Fix Things........ ;)

You can buy them ready made with snaps or velcro. Just search here on iBoats for them. They are 100% marine and inexpensive. I think they are made by Tracy.
