Are their any USCG regs regarding what type of cooling hoses to use on a raw water cooled I/O engine? If not, will using auto cooling hoses be ok for a saltwater boat?
I think it may also depend on which hoses you might be looking at replacing.
If you had a package with a Bravo drive with the water pump engine mounted you'd see this really thick, hard to bend hose going from the transom to the water pump. Not nearly as thick hoses through the rest of the system but you can see they are re-inforced not just simply rubber.
I know the hoses I replaced for my engine to water heater connections had some kind of rating stamped on the hose so you might want to see what yours show and make sure replacements are rated at that level or higher.

Are you wanting to change the hose going between the water pump to the thermostat housing?I'll need to check the rating stamp on my hoses. The one I really want to change is for the water pump.

Merc part number 87108 Hose, Molded, thermostat housing to water pump is also available thru iboats if interested, Molded Hose 1 3/4"ID 12 3/4" Length for Volvo Penta, Mercruiser 32-33189 32-87108, OMC Sterndrive Cobra - Sierra 18-71337 - iboats
I'm not sure on your engine model but keep in mind that some of the hoses between the water pump/thermostat housing were wire reinforced.

That is the one I really need to change and probably will buy it at iboats.. There are other hoses at 1" i.d. that I may change also and can get that size at an auto parts store. But want to make sure the 1" ones at the auto store will stand up to salt water.
Bondo.. has the corrugated one you put on been run in salt water?
