I have inherited a 4hp suzuki I did not really need the hassle that it brought but here goes, it is a 1987 2 stroke and like a lot of other posts ive read there is hardly any flow from the water cooling outlet all ports seem to be clear as I can blow through from both ends and impeller is ok. on the side of the skeg there is a rubber cover which allows access to the gear shaft remove screws when this cover is off and the engine is running water cascades down inside the skeg all around the driveshaft when I blow through the pipe from the impeller and block off the outlet I can hear air at the top inside the skeg is the engine worth keeping to try and repair or should I scrap it.
