Copper core ignition wire

Picked up a couple of old Johnson's, a 56/15hp and a 57/ 18hp look like the same motor. My question, both have copper core ignition wire, it's getting hard to find but stainless is available localy. Will it work, thanks............mjm

as long as it is solid core.

Lawnmower repair shops are a good source around here. Good place to get starter pull rope also.
