The "M" suffix always commands more $$$$$$$$$.
I'm convinced it stands for multiply ($X3).
I use wires from the auto parts store. No problems.

Wire core plug wires are just that -- they have a wire core. Carbon core wires appeared to suppress ignition interference. Run what's specified. Running the wrong wires can affect ignition system performance and perhaps even damage ignition electronics.

i got a old motor with coild and points etc so ill make sure i use copper cor spark plug wires

Mercury Outboards run stranded stainless steel core wires. I believe the OMCs run stranded copper core wire.
