Correct hardware for installing new floor planking?

I'm currently putting new plywood floors in a 74 strarcraft aluminum V hull. The factory used long pop rivets to fasten the planks to the stringers.

Would it pose a problem to use stainless steel sheet metal screws in place of the rivets? I can get either one but screws would be a lot easier to install.

stainless screws, moisture and aluminum means galvanic corrosion

aluminum rivets are recommended on an aluminum boat
