My OMC Cobra 5.7 is showing a oil pressure between 40 psi and 60 psi according to the gauge.
The engine is warm and the 60 psi reading is during higher rpm's.
Is it normal to have this much fluctuation and is 60 psi too high?

When at low rpm's your engine should have a low oil pressure (+ or - 40 psi)... More pressure at higher rpm's. Meaning the oil pump is working faster and creating higher presures (+ or - 60 psi). I would get worried if you didn't have any pressure. Yes, it will fluctuate. high rpm means higher pressure. low rpm and you will see the pressure drop. My donzi is a 1989 Ragazza 5.7 omc cobra.

What size prop do you have on your Ragazza?
