Correct parts to order for water pump 85 hp 73 johnson?

[WDC]

I am replacing my water pump with the help of ezeke and others.<br /><br />Just want to make sure I am buying the right parts<br />Here are the parts below<br /><br />439140 water pump kit w/housing<br />housing is beat up<br /><br />314937 exhaust seal<br />seal is worn<br /><br />314765 guide tube long<br /><br />314081 guide tube short<br /><br />Confused on the guide tube, none are there when I took them off(only copper lines) but why on ishopmarine does it show one short and one long. They should be the same length right. Just want to make sure.<br /><br />Thanks

Look on the water tubes I bet they are there. Different lengths stagger them to make them easier to guide in one at a time. Part numbers look good.

The guide tubes make it easier to reassemble the lower unit to the leg by guiding the copper cooling tubes into their respective water pump ports. <br /><br />As soon as you attempt your first reassembly, you'll instantly know what they're for.
