I found out that my boat (didn't pick it up yet) is 780 lbs - aluminum - it's 16 ft. I believe but not entirely sure yet - that it's 63 inches bottom width and 76 inches on the beam. I'll assume the bottom width is correct for the purpose of my question.

Am I being steered to the wrong trailer where the trailer is a loadrite 16F1001 - 1000lb capacity (boat/9.9/gas/etc) will be just about 950 lbs, and a 48 inch width between the fenders - maybe a dumb question ( I forgot to ask today) - but uhhhh 63 is > 48 - how can that fit ?

There are 3 widths available in a loadrite 16/17 ft trailer (bunk) - 48 inch, 62 inch and 73.5 inch. Is 73.5 the correct trailer

Re: correct trailer sizing

The 73 is the best choice, in my opinion. I like my boats to sit low on the trailer, between the fenders. They are more stable this way and easier to launch.
