I have a 1988 Formula 26pc that weighs about 7000 dry. It sits on a pretty heavy duty tandem axle loadmaster trailer. Does anyone have any idea of what I am looking at cost wise to have my trailer gone through and made safe? I know it needs tires, but I am talking about wheel bearings, hubs, brakes, etc. All the electrical is fine. Also, do trailer dealers take used trailers in on trades? Would it be better just to get a I beam tri-axle instead of putting money into the old trailer? I keep the boat in the water so I don't use the trailer regularly, BUT I would like to be able to pull it out to work on it OR to go to the corner gas station to fill it up.. I'm hearing 4.60 to 5.00 a gallon this year..
