125hp force 1988 model..the lower unit is from a 85hp with a 19 pitch...i ran it wot yesterday and i got up to 37 mph pushing a 17 ft bayliner..The problem is i could hear something slapping in the powerhead and it was smoking alot..THEN my wife tells me she mixed the oil 32.1 instead of 50 anyway..the overheat sensor went on..i shut it down asap..the wierd thing was there was still water pissing out the tell tall and the exhaust was spraying fine????

Could i have hurt the motor by running it so thick???
Will the lower unit from the 85hp hurt the powerhead because of the different ratio????

Is there anyway to tell if i have piston slap or something else??? compression ration is 115 119 112 111???

The 32:1 didn't hurt it.

The problem is i could hear something slapping in the powerhead and it was smoking alot..

That's usually a bad sign when things are slapping around in something that's spinning about 100 times per second .....

I would guess that was your problem.
