Firstly.. Thanks for the help so far with my 1954 7.5 evinrude. Thanks to this forum and all you guys, i have torn it apart, and got it back together. And.. It actually ran in the barrel yesterday very briefly. I had to shut it down quickly after no water was spraying. SO..I have used the search, and i am waiting for my manual, but would like to have it runnung today if possible..we finally have some nice weather in maine, and the season grows short.
I need to change the impeller. I know the kit # (thanks again FR) and i want to install it today. I have done an 18hp, but reading some posts, it looks like there is something under the flywheel to remove as well. Could the experts run it down quickly for me please? Is there a shaft under there somewhere that needs to be disconnected beforehand? Thanks..
Oh.. And this motor has a screw hole that says water flush on it.. if i run water thru this, will it mean the water passage is clear?nIs there a hose adaptop you buy for this? Thanks again..
