Couple Questions

'75 70 Evinrude What is compression ratio on these older two-strokes? Nothing listed in service manual and I was simply curious.

Also, while running, my voltmeter will go up to close to 17 volts. It does come back down to 13.5/14 in it's normal cycling however.
Can this be correct? Seems high but I'm knew to this, too. What is the spec.? Thanks...

You would want over a 100 on the compression with in 10% of each other

It has an unregulated charging system Thats normal with the low output stator coils (6amp).

It is not unreasonable for the volts therefore to rise that high once the battery is fully charged.

I dont think compression ratios are quoted, nor AFAIK compression pressures.
