That's exactly how mine was. Totally different boat now. This thing is more solid than its ever felt to me as the second owner.

I cant wait to see how it acts on a bigger waves now. Im pretty sure there is dramatic difference!

Also the correct engine alignment and correct transom thickness as well as healthy transom wood may help a bit :D

Today I fixed some minor hairline cracks outside the hull. I am so happy I chose epoxy for my project. Even the small amounts of gelcoat smells inside the house.

Ive been busy with cutting the woven for tabbing. It takes ages but Im moving along! Im catching up my schedule and my plan is to be ready late of May! My biggest challenge is the deck because I still havent found those thin foam sheets here in Finland.

Yes poly does stink, but honestly I've gotten used to it. Just a little forced ventilation goes a long way!! I think the gel coat is much more smelly.

For some reason with the gelcoat I'm using, I have to add some heat to get it to kick as quick as the resin. I use it at the same percent MEKP which is about max for the temps in working in. I haven't had a problem since heating it up some.

Thanks Chuck. I ordered new batch yesterday. It just didnt kick in.I swiped all out with acetone. I even mixed 4% mixture and placed it on warm surface. I Used peel ply to one area and hot air gun to another. There was enough temp, humidity was about 35%. Still nothing... Ive never seem this problem before. Im gonna call them today. Weird

Anyways, I hope I have a bit shorter work days this week so I can start tabbing! Cant wait to get ready with the stringers and bulkheads. ;)

The one batch I made up with surfacing wax actually kicked quickly without heat. Maybe try a test with wax added, or cover the test sample with plastic to keep the air out and see what happens. Who knows, maybe the stuff you bought was over a few months old. Poly definitely has a short shelf life.

Must be something with the badge. Well lets see when I receive the new one.

Today I put fillets to those two extra sidewings. I also started tabbing, maybe 5% done. I had only 45minutes. Im planning to tab the rest during this week. I already planned to have Friday off ;) Next month Im away for a week or two. This time in Illinois. If im lucky I may see some US boats in lake Michigan!

What a task. Took about 10 hours from start to finish. Tabbing is DONE! Capping during weekend if I got enough time. Progress!!!
